KEN AND SUZANNE FREDERICK Ken and Suzanne live in Manaus, Amazonas, with their four children, David, Lydia, Joshua and Samuel. Ken is SC for the Urban People of Manaus, a city of over 1,500,000, and Boa Vista, capital of the state of Roraima. They are currently on stateside. They have recently returned to Brazil from their first stateside assignment. During their first term in Brazil they served the rural communities of Acre, with the goal to see a church planting movement among the rural people of the Western Amazon Valley. They are working on the RACE team with Bill and Sylvia Lee, Aaron being SC for Ribeirinhos (River People) in Amazonas. The team's focus is on reaching Ribeirinhos in Brazil by sending out teams of 2 (Journeymen, ISC and Brazilians)to remote Ribeirinho communities. Bill and Sylvia, and their two daughters, Rachelle and Rebecca, recently completed a term of service in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, and are currently on Stateside Assignment. They will be returning to Brazil the first of this year, leaving Rachelle in the states to start college, and moving to Manaus, Amazonas, to work on a team with Aaron and Tiffany Epps, to reach the Ribeirinhos (River People) in Brazil. The team is working on a project that will focus on reaching Ribeirinhos in Brazil by sending out teams of 2 to remote Ribeirinho communities. The team will be concerned with developing the program and following through with training, logistics and supervision of teams. VICTOR AND JANICE NICKERSON The Nickersons have been serving in Brazil for 20 years. They live in Boa Vista, Roraima. They were appointed to Brazil as church planters and continue to serve in that capacity, but with added responsibilities. Victor is the Strategy Facilitator for the Western Amazon Valley. He works with each Brazilian Baptist State Convention and 25 IMB missionaries in six states of the Amazon Valley. The Strategy Facilitator (SF) responsibilities keeps them traveling throughout our six states as well as to other areas of Brazil. As part of the SF responsibility they serve on the Brazil Strategy Team (BST). They also keep busy with the Florida Baptist Convention and World Wide Church Planter (WWCP) partnerships. Our local church planting ministry is with church starts with Guyanese people (English speakers) and in the new neighborhood called Brigadeiro. On a personal note: Our two children, Karrie and Tory are both married. Karrie and Michael are living and working in Gainesville, Florida, and study online with New Orleans Baptist Seminary after being flooded out of New Orleans by Katrina. Michael is minister of praise and worship and Karrie is preschool director at North Central Baptist Church. Karrie also works at Shands Hospital. Tory and Gilianny are living in Boa Vista, Roraima. They work with the Florida Baptist Convention Partnership. Gilianny recently graduated from the Federal University with a degree in Biology.
